My Guiding Philosophy
I am a yoga therapist and personal trainer with decades of experience facilitating transformation. I use the tools of yoga, stress management techniques, and knowledge of the mind and body to help my clients move from a place of sadness to joy, from overwhelmed to balanced, and from anxiety to peace.
Over the years, I’ve found that imbalances and stresses in our lives and in our bodies are often reflections of how we are feeling internally. No matter what system of the body is affected– whether it’s the muscular, digestive or nervous system, etc.– I believe we all have the power to heal from within.
I know what it feels like to lose connection with yourself, and I also know how empowering it can be to gain that connection back. I’ve experienced this transformation myself, and have witnessed it in countless others.
Regardless of where you’ve found yourself to be right now, and no matter what life you’d like to create for yourself, it all begins with self-care.
I AM INSPIRED BY...
people’s desires to live a fulfilled life, and those who actively work to create one. Sometimes, we just need to tap into our strengths and learn the tools to cope with whatever life deals us so that we can thrive.
I teach yoga’s tools to help people create balance and discover their strength so that they can transform. The methods I focus on are either proven by science (I LOVE SCIENCE!) or inspired by my own path to healing from a severe car accident, depression and anxiety, navigating through a divorce and ultimately creating a joyful and fulfilling life.
The ways in which yoga’s methodologies have changed my life inspires me to share them with you.
THINGS I LOVE
I call North Carolina home, where I live in Charlotte with my sweet cat, Decklin. I am committed to honoring my inner child: dancing to funky New Orleans music, hiking in the NC mountains with my kiddos, jumping off rocks into a lake with my son’s encouragement, paddle boarding, and digging in the dirt!
